Prior to joining Velocity, Mr. Blumetti led a distinguished career as an architect designing projects of varying scope and size. As a staff architect for Shiffer Burdick Litchfield Magnuson Architects, P.C. (SBLM), a mid-sized architectural firm located in New York, NY. Mr. Blumetti's was responsible for the work in the Restoration and Preservation Division with numerous façade and building restoration projects. Mr. Blumetti advanced to a Project Manager and directed a number of restoration projects for a variety of clients including New York Telephone (Verizon); NYC Human Resources Administration; The Times Square Development Corporation; The Woolworth Building; Rudin Management; Newmark-Lewis Real Estate; Douglas-Elliman; and Silverstein Properties, among others. At SBLM he conducted site inspections, prepared construction documents, wrote repair specifications, conducted payment reviews, reviewed plans, costs, and construction documents for residential, commercial and public projects.

In 1995 Mr. Blumetti joined Gwathmey, Pratt, Schultz Architects, P.C. (GPS).As a Senior Project Manager, he was involved in the design, development and construction of resort development and multi-family housing projects. At GPS, he managed the work of teams during construction document phase and maintained quality control; reviewed and coordinated the work of multiple consulting disciplines; analyzed cost and construction data to develop feasibility studies for residential and resort development projects; and prepared bi-weekly project and man-hour forecasting schedules. Mr. Blumetti played a major role in projects ranging from $150,000 to $110 million as either a key member of a design team or in the role of senior project management.

In 2004 Mr. Blumetti joined Velocity Consulting to become the Director of Engineering Services. At Velocity, he has conducted property condition inspections of a variety of scopes and many property types, as well as coordinates staffing, training, mentoring and reviewing the work of the Engineering staff.

Mr. Blumetti received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1990. In addition to being a Registered Architect in New York and Colorado, he is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and a registered member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He has served as a member of various city and local design review committees and planning commissions at different times throughout his career.
